Kerrang radio were stupid enough to invite Daz and Frank to do a live interview with Johnny doom on the full metal racket show.
What followed upon their arrival can only be described as drunken chaos !!!
To listen to the show just go to http://www.kerrangradio.co.uk and go to the last FULL METAL RACKET show.
For those who just want to hear the actual interview then it is about
40 minutes into the show.
For
those who have witnessed Daz and Frank together when they have had a
drink before will be pleased to know they are just as badly behaved and
uncontrollable in a respectable radio station studio!!!
The show will be available to listen to until saturday 29th september.
Enjoy!!!!!
And if you have a party and need somone to clean the mess call carpet cleaning !

Due to local German government paranoia and mis-information about this festival
we regret to announce that benediction will not be appearing at this weekends
Hellflame Festival (22/09/07).
This is no fault of the band or the promoters (Burning Stage) who have been
fighting for this festival since town officials tried to ban it on the
grounds that they thought it was going to be a secret nazi meeting !!!!!!
The festival will still go ahead but with strict restrictions and also a
very strict time window for the show to happen.
At such a late time finally getting this sorted and at great expense for
Burning Stage promotions through using lawyers to fight the case
Benediction are one of the casualties of the outcome.
The band will be back next year with the backing of Burning Stage.
We are not sure what other bands will not be appearing but we
suggest you still go and give support to the promoter who has
lost a lot of money to make sure this festival goes ahead.
Oh well, shit happens.

Postponement of u.s.a tour
we
have postponed the tour later this year. Reasons? Working visas mainly.
We seem to be able to use british passports to get into just about
every other country in the world with no problem except the country
which in political circles is our closest allie and friend!!!
Minor
offences up to 15 years in the past can cause great concern to the
authorities that be, this includes late payments of fines/drunk and or
disorderly. This it seems makes you a national risk!!! The usual shit.
We'll
try and get out there in early 2008 (if the immigration/visa department
let certain people in the gang in !!!) sorry about that.
Shit happens. Get over it, we have. We'll sort it.

As many of you know by now, Nick Barker has been doing a stint with Testament.
At that time no tour dates were planned for 2007, leaving Nick time to
play on the new Testament record and tour.
Then the offers started to pour in
Well here it is, a new tour, the band are hitting the road again to
drink all of your beer and play some festivals.
(See the tour dates on the site for dates and links.)
As Nick is out on tour at the same time, the band had to think fast who
could fill the big mans place - one name kept coming back into there
heads - Neil Hutton.
Neil has played on all the band's releases from "the Dreams you dread" onwards,
Neil escaped the band to play with Stamping Ground for a while and has
been dragged kicking and screaming back to do this tour.
So what does this all mean. Well, at some of the shows on this new tour
you are going to get two drummers - Yes, that's right, TWO!
Because the band are playing on some dates, coinciding with Testament,
Nick will be joining the band on stage for a few songs.
Both are leaders in the drumming field, so if you are at one of the
shows, then count yourselves lucky.
They are going to be shows that you will that will stick in your minds for a long time.
Right The first shows Killer set list for Poland will be (could
well be a encore as well, time permitting make sure you go Fucking Nuts
to bring them back on stage)
1.I.
2.UNFOUND MORTALITY.
3.NOTHING ON THE INSIDE.
4.MAGNIFICAT.
5.I BOW TO NONE.
6.DARK IS THE SEASON.
7.SUFFERING FEEDS ME.
8.THE GROTESQUE.
9.AGONISED.
10.NIGHTFEAR.
11.JUMPING AT SHADOWS.
12.SUBCONSCIOUS TERROR.
13.THE DREAMS YOU DREAD
At some of the shows the band will be doing signing sessions, we will
try and have times up for you when we know them, they will be placed in
the forum part of the site so make sure you go and say hi to the
band.
On to the new record the band are planning to start the recording in
May, they are working hard to get it all in place so the new record
will be out very soon.
We should get some new song titles within the next few days.
Right over the next week or so we will have a new merch shop up and
running so you will be able to get all you merch straight from this
site.
Things we will have on the shop is
T-Shirts,
Button badges,
Stickers,

At
the moment, the band are taking a short break from eachother before
starting on the recording on the new album. In the meantime, Nick
Barker is helping bay area legends Testament out with some live shows
and maybe playing on the new album by them as well.
Frank Healy is doing a few shows with the reformed Cerebral Fix and
writing and playing on their new album. He has also finished writing
material for another band called The Burning Deities.
Dave Hunt is doing a new album with Mistress and also some live shows with Anaal Nathrakh.
There are a few lyrics that need sorting out on the new Benediction and
also choosing which tracks threy will include on Killing music. At the
moment there are too many songs !!!!
Benediction will also be playing at some european festivals this
summer. Go to the Tourdates pages or to the myspace pages to see the

28.08.2006 - Jesse Pintado R.I.P.
Benediction are extremely saddened at the passing away of their brother
Jesse Pintado who left us on the 27th of August. From the day he came to
live in Birmingham England to be in the mighty Napalm Death, he had
been an extremely close friend of ours. No words can describe our grief
so lets let his legacy in music do the talking. A true pioneer of the
death metal scene. In short, we are fucking gutted. We love you brother.
Dave, Frank, Daz, Rew and Nik.
20.08.2006 - Nick Barker is doing fine ; Pre-production re-starting
Nick Barker's ankle is now healed and the band will restart the album
pre-production in 2 weeks time. The new songs titles will be diffused
as soon as possible. At the moment, the band is sorting out their bonus
tracks/cover song for the new release.
Following songs could be set as bonus tracks :
- "Into the void" by Black Sabbath (Karl Willetts from Bolt Thrower
should be doing vocals on that track)
- "Seeing through my eyes" by Broken Bones (Wattie from The Exploited
should be doing vocals)
- "Banned from the pubs" by Peter and The Test Tube Babies (a guest
vocalist for that track is not sorted out yet).
(thanks Frank)
06.05.2006 - Drummer Nick Barker Breaks Ankle; Band Activities Halted
"BENEDICTION have had to put all rehearsing/recording/playing live on
hold for a few months due to drummer Nick Barker [ex-CRADLE OF FILTH,
DIMMU BORGIR] breaking his ankle after an 'incident' in Estonia!!! It
needed plates and screws to keep it all together and seeing as Nick is
a bit of a big lad, the doctors have strongly recommended that he sits
on his arse for at least six weeks before putting any pressure on it.
In the meantime, the rest of the band will take full advantage of this
quality time and go out and drink heavily until Nick is ready to rejoin
the band back in their Birmingham studio."
BENEDICTION's new album, "Killing Music", will be released via Nuclear
Blast Records, with whom the band recently re-signed. The CD will mark
the recording debut with the group of Barker.
(thanks Blackmetal.com)
16.02.2006 - Nick Barker Joins Benediction, New Album Out Soon
British extreme metallers BENEDICTION have set "Killing Music" as the
title of their new album, tentatively due in June/July. "Why break
something if it is not broken?" the group wrote in a statement sent to
Blabbermouth.net. "We have been a team for nearly 17 years and see no
reason to end that relationship!”
"Killing Music" will mark the recording debut with the group of new
drummer Nick Barker (CRADLE OF FILTH, DIMMU BORGIR). "This will be our
first new release since 2001," the band write. "It took so long because
we just didn't jell with any other drummers — Nick is the man."
Following the album's release, the band will be appearing at festivals
worldwide over the summer, followed by a full-blown world tour starting
in September. The "No Reunion Needed" tour is "going to last a long
time," according to the band. "We are calling it that because we are
seeing so many bands reforming purely because extreme music is becoming
popular again," they write. "We have been here since day one. We —
along with our fanbase — have rode the ups and downs of this business
and taken the rough with the smooth and still carried on regardless of
trends."
With regards to the musical style on "Killing music", the band said,
"The new album has a few new styles on it, along with the punk/death
riffs that we like so much. The drumming on our new tracks totally
transformed the songs. Nick is awesome on that bastard kit of his."
BENEDICTION have been confirmed as one of the headliners of the 2006
edition of the Fuck the Commerce festival, set to take place May 25-27
at MZA (Mehrzweckhalle) in Luckau, Germany.
